Shopping Prolongs Your Life

People who shop at least twice a week live longer than those who avoid shopping, shows a study conducted on 1850 people aged over 65, conducted by scientists. The key lies in the fact that discount shopping is a fun physical activity that creates and allows socialization, researchers said. A British researcher believes that the Taiwanese results make sense, as shopping activity involves mental, social interaction and keeping the brain active. In the study published online, the researchers led by Dr. Yu-Hung Chang from the National Institute of Health Research in Taiwan, studied 1,850 people aged over 65 living independently in their own homes. They found that those who go shopping regularly live longer than those who go once a week or less. They admit that shopping can be an indicator for a good physical condition, but feels as shopping can help improve health.
