Men?s Health ? Muscle Nutrition
We know both lean muscle and nutrition are key elements in men?s health. However, putting those two together can be a challenge. When you lift weights and workout intensely the last thing you want to see is a small plate with a skimpy piece of chicken and modest serving of vegetables. You want some real food after a hardcore workout. Yet at the same time you don?t want layers of fat covering up all your gym efforts. Unhealthy fats are detrimental to men?s health.
For your body to build muscle you must eat and eat a lot. The trick is the types of calories you take in. Now you could go home and load off on pizza and french fries and easily meet your caloric needs to build muscle but you?re going to gain a lot of fat in the process. On the flip side you don?t want to under-eat because that will be defeating the purpose. Here are a few foods that will enhance men?s health and build muscle.
- Lean ground beef and lean cuts of steaks
- Grilled chicken breast
- Fish (salmon, tilapia, grouper, etc.)
- Lean cuts of pork
- Turkey
- Sweet potatoes
- Brown rice (whole grain)
- All natural peanut butter
- Almonds, walnuts, cashews
- Whole eggs
- Milk
- Fruits and vegetables of any kind
These are just a few of many foods you can eat to help build muscle. As you can see these are foods you more than likely already enjoy in taste. The bottom line is if you eat the right foods you?ll get positive results; eat the wrong ones and, well, that?s a no-brainer. Implement these foods in your diet to gain lean muscle and maintain overall men?s health.
