Cool Great Stuff | Finance - School based student loans submitted ...

I went to two large universities in my four years at school, and apparently I owe to either of them a sum of roughly 4,000 in either tuition, or school sponsored loans. Both accounts have been submitted to separate collection companies, and I have received letters telling me I am in default.

Not sure how this happened, considering I never got tuition bills mailed to me or any problem when I was actually at the schools. And all of my financing was done through federal student loans and Sallie Mae. I would not have borrowed from my school.

Both these accounts want the full amount within the next few days! it?s crazy! I?m also trying to pay off the 35,000 I owe to sallie mae and the government.

What can I do to avoid legal action with these two accounts? can I get them combined? If they were bought by private debt collectors can I consolidate them with my current student loans?

HELP!
